About Mrs. Curley

Hi!  I’m Mrs. Curley.  I have been teaching elementary school since 1994!  Wow, where have the years gone?  I received by BA from Mount Saint Mary’s in Brentwood, California, and my Teaching Credentials from California State University, Northridge.  Not only was I originally a student teacher at Welby Way, but I have taught my entire career at Welby Way Elementary, except for one year I taught at Woodlake Elementary in Woodland Hills, California.  Before I was a teacher I worked as a legal secretary and personal assistant to an actor in the Television and Film Industry.  I am currently the grade level chair for 4^th grade, and I enjoy working with the most incredible 4^th grade team!  I am so lucky to be part of such an incredible school!

I live with my husband, Steve and our two beautiful children.  My daughter Ava is 8 (almost 9) years old and my son, Hunter is 7 years old.  When I’m not at school, or grading papers feverishly at home, I’m having fun with family and friends.  I absolutely love to spend time in the kitchen!  Cooking is one of my favorite things to do.  Not only do I love cooking, but I adore reading, exercising and listening to music!  If I’m not cooking or doing homework with my children, you will often find me in my kitchen decorating cupcakes, taking a cooking class or whisking my children off to sports events or dance class. I’m always the “Team Mom” and I often take on many responsibilities.  I absolutely feel the need to always be busy!  Boy oh Boy…what am I thinking?  I absolutely love spending my summers going to beach, visiting my family in Boston and Cape Cod, hanging out by the pool, and enjoying time finding fun activities to do with my family.

This is going to be an incredible year!
